Fee Update for 3 rd Quarter of the year 2020-2021

Dear Parents/ Guardians,

The Pandemic has brought about a sea change in the educational sector. Our parents, students and teachers have taken up the challenge and adapted well in this difficult situation. Online classes and assessments are going on well. To top it all, activities – both intra and inter-school have proved that the COVID-19 cannot dampen our spirits and efforts in any manner. We will continue in our efforts to provide quality education to our students.

Keeping in mind the present circumstances the management continues to support the parents for the third quarter (October to December).

1. There will be a reduction of Rs. 1800 in the third quarter which translates to Rs 600  per month  for the quarter ( October, November, December) 2020, for classes Lower Infant to XII.

2. No  bus fees will be charged for the third quarter (October, November, December) to existing bus students who have paid the bus fees for the first quarter. 3. Stationery charges are payable in 4 quarters.

4. The flexibility of payments on a monthly basis  for those who want to opt for the same for Quarter 3 will continue.

5. Parents will pay the fees through Online Mode by 10th of each month through IndusInd Bank Payment Gateway link: I-collect : https://induscollect.indusind.com

6. Parents who wish to pay the fees for the full quarter (October, November, December) can pay latest by 10th October,2020 through Demand Draft/Online mode

Ashok Hall Girls’ Higher Secondary School functions primarily as a day school having classes from Lower Infant to Class XII and a morning school for few classes of XI and XII. The school is recognized by the State Government and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

Why Us

The School

It comprises two sections (Junior and Senior) and functions from different locations in Kolkata. The junior section - Classes Lower Infant to Class V, is situated at Palm Avenue, Kolkata. The senior section - Classes VI to XII, is situated near Minto Park, Kolkata. This institution is a Day school functioning from 9.10 am to 3.20 pm hours on working days. There is a separate morning co-educational vocational stream for Classes XI and XII only.

Pre-Primary Classes: Students of Lower Infant and Upper Infant learn English, Number Work, Colouring, Craft, Dance, Music and PT through EduSports

Primary Classes (I to V): English, Hindi, Bengali, Arithmetic, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, General Knowledge, Value Educations and Life Skills, Calligraphy, Art and Craft, Dance, Music, Chess and PT. PT through EduSports is offered in classes I and II. Besides Lower Hindi and Lower Bengali, Sanskrit, French and Mandarin are offered as third languages in class V.

Admissions

Admission Procedure : Every candidate must register with the school before appearing for interactive session / counselling / test.

Lower Infant

The Prospectus-cum-Registration forms are issued in December-January for Lower Infant. Parents should come along with the child for an interactive session as per the date and time mentioned on the Receipt-cum-Admit Card.

The age limit for admission to Lower Infant is 3+ as on 1st April of the year of application.

Parents must rank their preference of school in the Registration Form.

The following documents are to be submitted at the time of the registration session.

1. Receipt-cum-Admit Card
2. Photocopy of the Birth Certificate from the Municipal Corporation (Original certificate to be brought for verification)
3. Registration Form duly filled and signed.
Successful candidates are informed through post. No queries are entertained regarding this.

Upper Infant

UPPER INFANT TO CLASS IX Admission to classes Upper Infant to IX is generally in March/April and continues up to July. The numbers depend on the vacancies that are available in a particular class.

Students studying in other affiliated schools in Kolkata are not considered for the Primary and Secondary sections.

Parents should come along with the child concerned for the interactive session / test as per the date and time mentioned on the Receipt-cum-Admit Card. Parents must rank their preference of school in the Registration Form.

The following documents are to be submitted at the time of registration: 1. Receipt-cum-Admit Card
2. Photocopy of the Birth Certificate from the Municipal Corporation (Original certificate to be brought for verification)
3. Registration Form duly filled and signed
4. Attested photocopy of the Progress Report Card of the previous school.

Only selected candidates will be intimated by post. Students must submit the original Transfer Certificate during admission. For student from outside West Bengal, original Transfer Certificates must be countersigned by the Education Officer / designated personnel of the Board / State concerned.

Class XI

Admission to class XI [Streams – Science (Day and Morning) , Humanities (Day), Commerce (Day and Morning) and Commerce (Commercial Management, Morning)] starts in March. But it is provisional till the submission of class X Pass Certificate and Mark Sheet. Admission continues up to the end of August. Parents should come along with the candidate concerned for the interactive session as per the date and time mentioned on the Receipt-cum-Admit Card. Parents must rank their preference of Stream in the Registration Form.

The following documents are to be submitted at the time of registration:

1. Receipt-cum-Admit Card
2. Registration Form duly filled and signed
3. Attested photocopy of the Progress Report Card of the School last attended or attested Marksheet of the Class X Board Examination. Only selected candidates will be intimated by post.
